I'll pay $20 to cover shipping/time for good cores , especially '88 and later units . Good core means the water outlet pipes for the heater core, hot water choke , and bypass line are in solid and not pitted/rusted shape . Also, the thermostat housing/outlet needs to be with it , also not pitted or rotted away . They only weigh around 8lbs even with most of the emission crap still on them , so it's a few extra bucks to get rid of another part to trip over and help out a fellow Zukker in need ... Thanks,

Like I said , just make sure the water outlets are in good shape and the thermostat housing is included and not pitted to death . Evidently, I'm seeing a lot of folks not changing their antifreeze and keeping clean water in the system . Not a good sign, someone is going to sell a lot of radiators...

on almost every samurai radiator i have, i have had to have the core acid dipped to get rid of crusty scale from jackass previous owners that like to use hard tap water instead of slightly more expensive 99 cent jug of distilled water.

one seller told me "geez, i have no clue why my samurai runs hot....i have replaced thehead gasket, water pump, t-stat, you name it" he did tons of work throwing parts at the zuk but failed to notice the chunky whitish deposits clogging the radiator. i bought it for cheap and paid the huge $30 to have the radiator dipped. problem solved.

needless to say, i don't think my extra intakes would pass your inspection.

Hey, as long as the outlet pipes are solid I fix whatever else is wrong , been getting pretty good at brazing up pinholes, ect . It's getting worse trying to get decent cores , I agree that 99cent water would sure help .
