I've got a rebuilt Pony from DannyL, had it for about 6 months waiting for Zuk carb to die, but it just keeps on chugg'n along and I have no compaints regarding it's performance. Aint gonna fix it, if'n it aint broke yet. My questions are: What happens to the ECM unit after you install a Pony or Weber carb? What's left for it to control??

Early 87 Zuk, Calmini headers, 2" Calmini reverse lift, Calmini 2" Exhaust system, Kayline Full Doors,Steel Horse Seats, 30x9.5 Roadmaster rubber, Doetsh shocks & stabilizer, soon a Pony & GRS-1

I've pondered this myself. I've been meaning to disconnect the pigtail from the distributor to see what happens but never remember to do it. It seems like there is always something else needing attention. I would think that it still has some control over the distributor.
