Hello,
I want to buy a good, reliable offroad/overlanding car. I would like to do medium difficulty trails (there are lot of wet muddy forrest trails in my country.) but of course I will also drive it a lot on road too. My max budget is around 20-25k$.
I have found two cars in really good shape:
1. Mitsubishi Pajero 4th gen 3.2 diesel, 200PS, from 2016 in 115k km and stock equipment. - 20000$
2. Toyota Land Cruiser Prado J120 3.0, 173 PS, diesel from 2008 in 259k km. and with minor offroad upgrades - 15000$
The comfort equipments are about the same in both cars.
Nearly everyone says that the Toyota is more sturdy, reliable and capable offroader, but the Mitsu is 8 years younger and has 140k less km-s. A Toyota from the same year would cost almost double, around 35-40k $.
Which one would you choose?
