I cannot understand why anyone who is a republican supporting John McCain. His campaign finance reform bill (McCain - Feingold bill) would keep everyone except labor unions and the news media from freely supporting political candidates. Are these the people you want telling us about candidates? First of all it is totally unconstitutional, second this and other of McCains statements and his record do make him sound more like a liberal than a conservative.

The answer is Bush. Period. Every vote sent to some 3rd party for the sake of "making a statement" is one less vote for Bush. That's how Ross hosed up our chance to oust "slick" 4 years ago & I hope McCain isn't stupid enough to sabotage Bush by making a jump to another party. That'd spell an instant victory for Gore. And that is the absolute LAST thing we need!

Now after I heard that McCain and Bradley are rumored to be talking about campaigning, I'm 100% against McCain. Bush all the way... Actually Bush isn't my first choice. My first choice would probably have to be CJDave... But other than that, as long as enough people vote Bush to get rid of Demoratic Socialists in the Government, I'll be happy about it... /wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif

Both. I don't get it. The most important thing here is to banish Klinton and all his spawn once and for all. If Bush and McCain would just suck it up, join forces, be running mates and avert the real danger here, then in 4 years we can worry more about picking the best republican president. Although since that isn't gonna happen I'm glad that Bush won. I think McCain is a bit mental. I've got respect for the man being a POW and all, but that combined with a lifetime in this Arizona heat doesn't do much for the gray matter. If only he would take getting beat like a man and get behind Bush and ask all of his supporters to do the same.

Normally I vote Libertarian, they gain a little each year, but Gore is so dangerous to our country that this year the best chance to banish him to the dustheap of history is to vote for Bush, distasteful as that is. Pity Keyes didn't have a chance....

I agree with TEX. I kind of like Pat Buchanan but I'm afraid my vote for him would be wasted. I sure as h*ll not going to vote for that bouncing guy at the top of the page/wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif

It's gotta be Bush. I am more Libertarian than Republican myself, but a couple of the earlier posters pointed it out: a third party vote probably helps Al Gore. Gore wants us all to stay out of the woods with our nasty jeeps, disarm ourselves and embrace the fuzzy feel good agenda of the United Nations. Al Gore is just Bill Clinton with less brains and no balls at all.

If CJDave made it into the White House, his Moonguys would easily consume so much beer that the national debt would seem like mere change compared to that bill... /wwwthreads_images/icons/laugh.gif /wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif

I don't know who to vote for, I hate them both! You guys are probably going to attack me for saying it, but I'm usually a democrat but am not a hardliner by any means. I kinda liked mcain simply because he seemed to be fairly honest (though now that I think of it, maybe that was the most damning thing about him..."seeming" to be honest) Gore seems like such a little stoolie, not much of an independent leader and just as slick as Clinton (some of the stuff about him "inventing" the internet is actually more truth than you guys think. He was in charge of making the internet public)
But bush...c'mon people...Bush? Talk about a tool! He doesnt' know a damn thing, here's a guy who doesn't look like he could find his ass with two hands and a copy of Grey's Anatomy. He's been coasting on his dad' coattails from day 1.
I'm in a fix now, because the only thing that'd bother me about finding the pair of them under my wheels is that those fat wallets might knock my suspension off. The only thing I'm sure about is not wanting to skip voting, becuase then I'd have no ground to bitch and whine afterwards :) Hopefully no one takes this personally, just putting out what I've seen.

Jeeper131, you still have some doubt about who will get your vote?

If you vote for Gore, and he wins, he'll issue a few executive orders and your jeep will be illegal (too dirty for the air; and too nasty that it can actually go off-road).

Don't worry; it'll be recycled into mass transit vehicles to carry Sierra Club members to the trailheads (hiking will still be OK) and welfare recipients in to pick up their checks.

Or it might go into commemorative medallions for the United Nations types who'll be taking over our Forest Service.

Or maybe into fencing, too keep you out of public lands.

And Democrats all love gun control. Hell, it's impolite, but I'll say it: Teddy Kennedy has killed more people with his car than I have with my whole damn gun collection.

We're lucky to live where we can vote, but I have a suspicion that Clinton and Gore don't really like the idea.

Here's something to think about. Just heard last weekend,on an all night trucking radio station, that rumor is Algore is thinking about using Hillary Clinton as a running mate.

but what is worse? Having a president with whome you disagree with but is sort of capable, or having an inept president that you simply "hope" won't mess things up too bad. I'm not saying I think Gore is all that capable, just asking myself questions before the big day

Our biggest problem is that Gore is way too capable.. He's capable of closing our off road trails, capable of mandating the elimination of the internal combustion engine, he's capable of closing all but the eliteists out of national lands, capable of confiscating our guns, capable of much more stuff... Gore is too capable of this bad stuff for anyone who likes off roading to even consider. Sure there's a chance that someone else MIGHT try to eliminate off roading and off road vehicles, but with Gore he's GUARANTEED TO BAN US The country is so messed up right now, that I doubt it can get much worse. Except if Gore gets elected.

I really hoped that Bill Bradley would be president. He wanted to univeralize health care so that every American would have health insurance. I had a close friend who almost died because he could not pay for his treatment. And I helped him out some but it was not enough.

Under the Clinton administration, the American economy is the best it can be. If Bush gets elected for president, I wonder if he would mess up the economy??I wonder if the attacks on the banner to Al Gore are for real or just an attack to get Bush elected as what I see in political attacks in TV commericals.

Hey 45-auto,

your Ted Kennedy thing reminds me of an old comedians routine, Jay Hickman I think it was:

There once was a senator from Mass
He went out in search of some a$$
he lucked up and found it,then F#&*#ed up and drowned it
and that was the end of his a$$

How anyone can consider voting for Gore is beyond me. Isn't he the guy who took campaign money from the Chinese? Didn't he have a part in selling military secrets to the Chinese? Didn't he stand behind that lying scumbag Klinton? Everything on Gore's agenda points this country down the road to socialism.
