Hello all,

My project is nearing it's end (for now). I'm down to the small nit picky items....

I am in need of a throttle cable for my 1972 with an AMC 360 V8 engine. It needs to be very short. Does anyone have a line on new cable? If so, where, how much and part # please...

Does anyone know if the early (1976-1982) CJ5/CJ7 V8 throttle will work?

Thanks for any help, hope to see some of you in Moab at the end of April!

yes the early cj cables will work. they are actually kind of long and they loop between the firewall and the carb

Has anyone tried this cable: Jeep Part # 5357931 It is 18.75 inches long.

That is still about 2 inches too long, but it may be better than a big loop in the cable behind the carb. But that 2 inches may take up all the travel in the pedal and leave you with nothing. (I'm just looking for a "cleaner" install.)

that loop is there so it deos'nt bind, becouse of the offset from the firewall to carb. let us know if you find a good alternative
