Yesterday I took my heater box out to restore and was anxious to find a date stamp on the rear. No such luck. I have a 69 Deluxe Hardtop and removed the rear plastic panels over the sidewalls and fenderwells. On the back of the little vinyl inserts there was a date of September 10, 1969 stamped on the bread board. Just thought this was a interesting find.

Patrick,

Does your vehicle have the Build Date Tag? If so, how close is the date from the inserts compared to the BDT?
I'd be interested in getting a photo of the insert w/the date. Also, have you already registered your VIN with me? If you have, I'll include this information with your VIN. Shoot me an email and let me know.
Thanks,

Lizard

My build date tag in the door jam said September 1969. This stamp on the panel was very small, so you may have to enlarge this attached picture to view. Also, I thought I had submitted my info. to you. If I have not please let me know and I will get it to you. My vehicle had the build date tag and paint and trim code tag intact.
