Never heard of any. I just eye-ball the trick stuff on other peoples buggys/cars/trucks and make up as I go along.

Buggy design software?
Anybody know of any software for designing the frame of a sand-rail type vehicle?
what about things like suspension and all that?
Im an Mechanical engineering student and need it for a project, the software the school provided sucks and doesnt do anything....and i'd rather not do it long hand /wwwthreads_images/icons/cool.gif

you could always try using AutoCAD along with catevia or pro-e. if your school doesn't provide you with one of those pieces of software then i think you need to change schools. our local enginneering school goes to a national off road buggy competition where they have to design a small buggy with an 8 horse briggs and stratton. i would get ahold of some of the buggy manufactures and and copy thier designs out of thier catalogs. chenowth, funco, high jumper are a few of those companies.
hehe our school also has a tractor pull team with runs a v-16 allison unlimited tractor and a mini tractor with an 8 horse briggs also.

thats actually what i needed the software for...the buggy thing ...aka SAE mini-baja.....i just decided to keep it simple to avoid confusing anyone. /wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif
