Hey! does anybody in this forum know were i can send out a bottom end of 2000 yz250 to have it rebuilt? Piston skirt broke off the piston and is now stuck in the crankcase. I can get the crank to move but it hangs up on the chunk of skirt thats in there. Anybody know a trick on how to get the chunk out of there. Maybe I can luck out and save the money on the bottme end rebuild. Thanks

Well Nick, if it got in there it should come out. You'll just have to play with it a little, is the engine out of the frame? Take it and turn it up side down and turn the crank back and forth, you'll probably have to shake it around until you can get a hold of the piece with a set of needle nose pliers or something. If you get a hold of it and still can't get it out, try to break the piece into smaller pieces till it does come out..........good luck.

I have removed the motor out of the frame, took it apart and was shaking it upside down to try to get the chunk out but it never came out. I can here it rattle around in there but can't seem to get it out. I think that I am going to send the whole motor to Eric Gorr. He has a very profesional web site and good services. The snow is kind of deep here on the east cost so I'm not worried about riding right now but I would like to have this bike running by next season. Thank's guys for all your help.
