Borla catback and 90 YJ

In the process of installing a Borla catback on my 90 YJ 258, I found that the inlet on the Borla muffler is 2.25" and the output of the cat is 2", which makes for a loose fit /wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif . The rest of the exhaust is 2". I know this is an easy fix, but I'm wondering if I have a smaller then factory cat or if Borla built their system to the wrong specs? Or, is there a reason for the 2.25 muffler inlet on an 2" exhaust system?

What does a cat back do? How good does it sound on the 258?

Catback refers to the exhaust system from the catalytic converter back. Right now it would sound kind of loud becuse I haven't sloved the 2" to 2.25" problem yet. I'll have it fixed tomorrow and let you know.

OK east116, if your still interested, it's tomorrow and the installation is done. It actualy sounds about the same, quieter then I expected.
