If you talk to anyone who has installed one, ask them how many hours they have on it. The people I know who have done this fall into two groups. The first, have gone back to the original configuration. And, the second group, are those who installed them by themselves and keep extra kits available for replacement of the original kit. The longevity is not like the original. Most poeple will be more than happy to tell you the upside, but very reluctant to talk about or admit there is a downside. It is a trade-off that you must decided for yourself. Do you want to spend more time and money and less time riding in order to gain the power increase, which you will definitely get? Go to www.highlifter.com and ask Jeff. They sell them and will answer your questions honestly. I am NOT telling you not to do it and not telling you what to do. Just trying to let you know compromises exist. Hope that helps some.
