Beefing a front 10 bolt......

I'm thinking about the future solid axle swap again, and thinking about how to beef the possible 10 bolt front axle. I want to build it once, and not worry about it. This truck will be a daily driver on 35's and will see general purpose 4x4ing. Mud, some small rocks, playtime at the Silver Lake dunes, trail riding, etc. I'm going to leave the front open, unless I find a bunch of money sitting around and get an ARB or some other kind of 100% on/100% off locker for the front.
Basically I just want to build a front 10 bolt that can stand up to 35x12.5R15 tires and some medium abuse. I'm planning on eventually building a 1 ton axled offroad machine with really big Super Swampers for heavy 4x4inig, so the Blazer won't see that sort of action.

I'm just looking for parts recommendations and advice. Thanks.

The other on/off locker, The OX Locker, is making a version for the D44. I would get a 3/4 ton D44 and use this since it fits. Besides, this locker is mechanically actuated so no compressor is needed. No drilling into the pumkin to plumb air lines either.

I had 35's on stock D44. Never had any problems at all. Rock crawled and stood it on its rear bumper many times. As long as you dont lock it you should be fine. If it breaks some how then get another one. They are a dime a dozen in junk yards. The only thing that happened to mine was the tie rod got bent but a big hammer fixed that. I sold my D44 for $100. Thanks Frank. I figure if I can get a NP241 out of a solid axle Chevy or GMC truck, I can probably snag the front 10 bolt also. They're the same strength wise as a D44, so I figure I should be safe. Thinking about some of ORD's beefed axle shafts to though and Drivelineman's beefy U-joints. Added insurance.
