Ok.. my BII has been sitting for 1.5 years and I decided to clean it out. Even after vacuuming for 2 hours it is still nasty. Well to the point- the carpet has seen better days and ants made nests under the carpet so I started removing the carpet. Tomorrow I think I will take the seats and the rest of the carpet out of the truck. Has anyone removed the carpet and put spray/roll in bedliner in the interior?

Are you talking about the torqs(sp) bolts? I haven't gotten them out yet. I believe the are the star shaped bolts that 2 hold the rear seat belts on and 4 hold the top part of the seats on. Also 2 left holding the front seat belts down. Everything beside that is now in my basement. Oh does anyone know where I could get replacement drains. There are six I think (the oval shaped metal plugs) and all but one are rusted pretty thoroughly. I might try and clean them up instead of replacing me but I will probably have to drill the sheetmetal screws out. Also gonna have to do this one the kick plates holding the edge of the carpet down in the front. What size torqs was that.. a T-50 is that the size?
yeah they shouls be t-50 for the ones on the seatbelts and the ones holding down the rear seats. if they dont move with a breaker bar right away back off so you dont break your bit like i mangled mine. really soak em with wd-40 or PB blaster or something.

as far as your oval body mount access covers, not quite drain plugs, i just ordered a catalog from www.lmctruck.com if ya want order one too or when it comes ill give ya an idea of how much new ones are. they have ALL stock parts for trucks new for a price... mince were rusted to hell too but for now i'll just wire wheel them clean and paint em. but yeah those are access holes to get to your body mounts from up top. if ya wanna do a body lift you take those off and you can hold the top from spinning and take off your nut then voila all ya do is raie a side slide your block in and hey hey a bopy lift. well theres more to it then that but least ya know what theyre for now.

Ah I probably would have figured that out when I got around to taking them out.
I ran into a mechanic buddy of mine yesterday and he's gonna stop by and help me get those bolts out. I think i'm gonna start removing the plastic on the sides in the back. Also gotta start cleaning this crap out of the interior..

the rearmost mounts should be easy they have low torque specs mine were actually only hand tight when i took em off, yes to my shock and dismay! i broke 2 outta 6 due to gross rust monsterage but i dont see you having that problem being in a non salt winter state.

Well I ended up getting a set of torqs bits so I could get the nuts out. A couple of them were pretty tight but with a little extra leverage they came out. The only ones I had trouble with were the ones holding the kickplate on the at the on the passenger side. I had to drill the heads off all but one. Now I gotta start cleaning the inside out and prep it for the bedliner. Does anyone know if there is some kind of rubber matting I could put down before I put the bedliner in? I'm also gonna look into removing the rear windows and cutting the top off above where the windows go up. I read somewhere about welding the supports for a ranger tailgate and maybe shortening the rear a bit. This would be quite a bit of work and i'm not sure I really need to spend that much time on it or just fix it a bit and sell it.
i wouldnt go putting anything down before the lining then you create an air gap between the liner and the floorpan. a liner is enough by itself if anything just throw the old floor mats up front back in and your good to go.

one more thing WHY WOULD YOU WANNA SELL AHHHHHHHHHHH blasphemy!
mech you know better then to sell it, plus all you need is the rear bed corners off a ranger and you weld them in to hold the tailgate up. Also you can cut the lift gate off shorter so its just the bottom portion and it will function as a removable tailgate.
