How far of a drive is the bash from East Va? It can be done in a day right?

 

Kevin, I don't know for East Va, but to Charlottesville it about 11 hours. I-64 to Louisville, I-65 to Indy, I-74 about 30 miles, about 1/2 hr. on state roads. Hope you make it.

 

I'm pumped, i'll be there along with mom, probably the girlfriend and if we get her dad's '52 flatty up and running i'll try and convince him to come. Time to start thinking about awards.

 

Allright thanks, I live about 2.5 hours from charlottsville, so i think it could be done in a day as long as i have someone with me who can drive 1/2 the time. This is gonna take a lot of Gas!! My cj is getting about 12 mpg right now and i suspect it will be worse by then, (istalling lift soon to save my 32's).

I drove twice from Arkansas. Once from northwest and once from central. Took about 12 hours drive time. First time flat towing, second time on a trailer getting 9mpg. It is worth the trip though. This year I will drive and should have a 700r4 swapped in soon. Picked one up yesterday.

Yup, have a good plan for adapting the transmission to the transfer case. Much cheaper than advance adapter's $460 adapter too. Will have to buy the Novak adapter for the engine side though.

 

Oh no, Looks like the 1st rockport competion is on the saturday of the bash. I think i'm going to go down to the bash thursday, wheel friday and either leave friday night or saturday real early for rockport, compete saturday and then come back saturday night and wheel sunday.

 

Well now its looking more like I will be able to make it. My girlfriend is still graduating that weekend, but says she'll be so busy that I'll hardly see her. Plus she told her dad about my dilemma and he said I should go on my trip. Her family is doing a party on Sunday so all I've gotta do is leave early enough on Sunday to get to the party. So I'll have Friday and Saturday to wheel. If I go chances are good that I'd have an empty seat as well.

 

I'll be there and maybe the g/f too. Unless things change and I get the jeep out here, I'll need a seat for me and probably one for the g/f too.

 

Always welcome to ride with me Ed... but I don't think with my single stock rollbar we can use the back seat and be inside the Badlands rules.
