I managed to talk a buddy of mine whom is selling his 1997 Cherokee four door sport down to 650 bucks. The Jeep has a Power everything, A/C, new set of tires, Alternator, battery, and a complete tune up that was done about a year and a half ago, by me for him. The jeep cranks and runs well but needs cleaning up, a tune up (including changing all fluids due to it sitting for months), and has a little death wobble problem. I had a death wobble problem with my Wrangler but solved that problem with new tires and rims. The 97 Cherokee also has a problem with over heating. I am thinking that It probably needs a new thermostat, water pump and a few other things. Yes I checked the oil for water and it came out very clean, also no oil in the coolant, so it looks like there is no problem with the head gasket. I am going to get it all cleaned up and fixed up, once all of that is done I want to put a mild lift on it with some mild sized tires. I used to have a 87 Cherokee with a 3.5 inch Pro comp with 31's I am thinking of doing the same lift on the 97 but am open to any suggestions that y'all have as well. Ill try to post some pics once I get the jeep home.

About the overheating: Also check if the fanshroud is in 1 piece and if the rad leaks. Mine stopped overheating once i replaced the topless fanshroud. The dealer had broken off the top half for easy access to the fanclutch so the air was pumped around under the hood instead of being pulled through the rad.
