The manual for my '84 R/C calls for Dextron II as lubricant for tans. & transfr case. Turns out this stuff is no longer available and
been replaced. The auto parts salesman tells me that Valvoline ATF plus 3 is a replacement. How can I verify this?

My neighbors 95 RAM & my 94 Grande Cherokee call for 75-140 synthetic diff. oil for use with a tow, or heavy duty package.
Does any one know where to find this stuff? The dealers don't have an answer?

I just changed the oil and filter in my transmission. On my first trip to the parts store I bought Dextron II by mistake. Had to return it and get the Type F. So I know Dextron II is available at Champion Auto stores, I don't know where else.

When I had my trans rebuilt and a shift kit installed (both car and truck) B&M called for TYPE F fluid to be used. I have been running type F for about four years with no problem
