Mangler

Cant be of any help on your question but I was just wondering where the 8.8 sits in the scheme of things as far as strength goes ? Is it Dana 44 strong or Dana 60 strength etc...? I`m not up to snuff on that specific axle. Thanks man !

I installed dual Emergency brakes on the Scrambler using hand e-brakes, so anything can be done.

I'll let you in on my secret for installing them, 1/8" aircraft cable and turnbuckles.

I do like the e-brake pull handles in yota's, pretty cool idea mangler. Definitely post pics with your progress.

Mark, you don't happen to have any pics of your e-brake assemblies do you? did you just use the push with your foot style? I can't imagine that it would be too tuff adapting stuff for the yota handle. I'l be picking one up on my next trip to the yard!

No, I used hand brakes, one from an '87 Geo Spectrum and one from an RX-7. I mounted them between the seats so they're easy to grab. I'm not gonna have a lot of use for them since I'm putting the mini-spool in the rear and taking out the Lockright. At least with the Lockright they'd still work, but they won't now. Maybe I'll throw an extra one in the Zuki.

With mounting the roll bar, I had to remove the factory E-brake. I was planning on trying to install the toy brake next to the seat on the tunnel. Of course this will require new brake cable.

I have a Willys hand brake handle in my Willys, its twisty and pully like a toyota handle, and I don't have to worry about my Jeep being allergic to it. :) I have it mounted next to my overdrive shifter between the transfercase shifters and the dash. It had to be moved from the stock location on the left side of the steering wheel because the heater needed to be there.
