if so Im curious if you noticed any improvemnts in fuel mileage. or maybe power, but my guess is moslty fuel mileage cause you wont feel 2hp at the rear wheels, but might notice it in fuel mileage

Are you talking about adding the whole open element with teh extreme top, or just adding the extreme top on a motor that already has the open filter?

I'm running the regular filter in the stock air cleaner on my TBI, but im starting to dislike the whole idea of K&N after what i've read on here and what dust and stuff i find on the INSIDE of where my filter is in the air cleaner.

That is odd. I run an open element and even after about 10,000 I didn't find anything on the inside of the housing. You sure you got it oiled well enough? THEN again, I don't drive in dusty conditions very often.

yeah theryer kinda difrent, they need lots of care, and wel might not be worth it. they make some pretty good realy phine almost feels like silk mesh that works as pre filter that looks like it would work pretty good.
