I'm thinking about swapping out the entire tub. The internet sites I have been reading say that willysoverland makes the best replacement (bolt on)

anyone have any experience with a steel replacement?

Re: anybody use a willysoverland steel replacement

Willis Overland doesn't actually make them - they buy them in the Phillippines. The quality isn't great, so WO fixes them, drills holes, makes tabs, adjusts body mounts and so on. I can't vouch for the end product, but I can say that when the tubs come from the factory they need considerable work before they're ready to install.

When I was looking for a stainless steel body I had several long conversations with Jay at WO, and have a fair amount of confidence that their product is what they say it is.

I need a CJ-5 Tub for a '73.
Any information anyone can give me will be GREATLY appricated!

I'm particularly interested in how the joints line up, how much of the joints are welded, how well the holes line up with fenders, body mounts ect., and how much they cost...

Go to their website and look around. Then call 888 265-5337 and talk to Jay. Heck, you're not that far from Toledo - go take a look.
