Is there a way to search the member list by city or state? I am curious if there is anybody on this board from Denver. Thanks!

I don't think there is a way to search for location.
But, there was a thread a while ago for colorado residents.
Remember, if anyone is capable of taking over the jeepster central chapter web site, I think Rev_deadpan has to much on his plate to keep it running, and I can't handle that kind of responsibility

I live in Denver close to Downtown. The traffic is really only bad when you live in the 'burbs. Everybody wants to live there, but they all complain about the traffic. My commute is ten minutes.

Hey Turtle - I am in Park Hill, and my commute is 5 miles to work every day (Wash Park). This traffic is nothing compared to DC!

Suzy,

Being in Richmond and traveled up 95 in and around DC.......you're not kidding. DC, Baltimore & NYC......I can live without. Dallas,TX is the same way too. If there's a wreck on the other side of the interstate......the traffic is backed up a mile or more on the side you're traveling on.........Dang
rubber-neckers!

They need to pull over and take pictures if they're so interested in the wreck on the other side! I wouldn't even want to count how many times rubber-neckers have caused addtional wrecks.....just by slowing down to look at the accident.

I live in Mayfair. You've probably seen my little Blue Jeepster. It's always parked in my driveway along 13th east of Colorado Blvd. There are at laest three Jeepsters within a mile of eachother over here.

Denver native. Now live up in Conifer. Traffic sucks down there but I travel into it (slightly) on a daily basis. Seem to be a lot of Commandos in the area but are in "pockets" of different areas around town. In my old neighborhood of Green Mountain, there were five of them within a six block radius. Saw two different ones between Conifer and Evergreen last Fri driving no less!! I need to get mine going yet but put it into the garage (gasp) before the snow hit. Now I HAVE to get it going so I can get it back out.

My boyfriend drove me by your house today on 13th to show me yours. How funny! I have only seen two other Commandos (one driving down Broadway by Speer, the other parked at Emerson and Bayaud) in the last year. Glad to know they exist! Mine is my only vehicle so look for me!

AC101 - I have replied with the same sentence (3 commandos in the neighborhood)to others on this website before because Turtle is my Yellow Commando on Forest! I drive by your house everyday on the way to work - although I'm driving the Liberty. I have always wanted to contact you to see if you knew about the website. Good to see you here!

Hey AC101 - Are you, or were you into the rockabilly scene in Denver? My boyfriend was on his way to my house and he saw you by your Jeep and said you looked really familiar, possibly from the Ninth Ave West days. Just curious

Ya, I kicked it in that scene.
Still do, now and then. In fact I met my wife at 9th Ave. He might remember me by my 65 Mustang Fastback. There are like 3 or 4 groups of rock-a-billy kids. There is the Kurt and Karen group, the Dalhart group, the PanDragger group, and everyone else. Who do (did) you hang out with. I kinda gravitated twards the Kurt and Karen crowd as well as the Dalharts.
I also run around with the scooter kids too.

holy cow small world! I bet we know each other, or at least would look vaguely familiar to each other! Those rockabilly factions are pretty funny huh? Remember when everyone got along?! Were you at Kurt and Karen's holiday party? I was just there for a bit, then went to see the Dalhart Imperials play at Lincoln's. I am the booking agent for them, so you can find me at most of their shows. I used to drive a '64 Galaxie convertible, but I sold that about 5 years ago. Well, since you probably know Rodney, be sure to say hi if you see us out!
