I found a 3 inch cat back system for my 87 Burb made by Dynomax (part#- 17433) for $150 but it seems to be listed for only 2WD versions. I emailed them to ask what the difference was but haven't heard back yet so I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a difference between the 2 and 4WD exhaust systems for 87? I would think the transfer case would be the only problem but that is on the other side and the cat ends about even with it anyways so it shouldn't make a difference. Anyone know?

I think the cat may be farther forward on the 2wd. The crossover pipes drop down low on the 4wd to clear the front driveshaft.
You could call the dealership and see what part numbers they list.
You could also go to your local muffler shop and have them set you up with a custom cat-back system.
