I got a set of aluminum rims for my chevette (yes I'm driving a chevette and not my samurai) and I went to get tires tonight for them and when the guy put them on the balancer you could see that one of them is bent. He managed to get it balanced but the thing is when I put it on the car it will probably be noticable. Because these rims are so rare is it possible to get it straightened or am I up the creek without a paddle.

I read once that Stockton Wheel will repair steel and aluminum rims . But I think it would be quite pricey .Is it a cast wheel ,if so you may be sol . If it is forged I think you will have better luck fixing it / getting it repaired . Is it a factory rim ? Post a pic maybe someone has one ? Good luck .

it's almost certainly not a factory rim with those slotted lug holes. the factory never did
that, although a stealer might have. The slots were so 1 casting and machining operation
(so to speak) would make a wheel that fit "any" given bolt pattern with an insert
in the slot to make it fit a particular bolt circle. Look at the insert, I'll bet it says "Unilug" or
something like that, might even have the makers name. Also look on the back of the wheel
casting. American always, in my experiance, cast thier name and the wheel size back there.

bad news, I strongly doubt the thing is fixable, the backside says casting to me...

Good news, if the bend is small and local to that area, I bet you won't even notice it.
So long as it doesn't look like a fracture is starting, should be fine.

Edit/ps: I take too long, 2 posts since I started typing!

Sorry but my friend doesn't explain things very well. Those rims were made for the Pinto and Mustang way back.

I can't put that rim on the back because the rims that are going on the back are 7" wide. The tire mounted on it is a 205/60 R13, it just fits on the rim. ^See Attached^

I guess I'll just have to try it on the car and go from there.
