Okay, getting ready to order a set of Alcans but need some feed back from those who have them, ie: ride quality, articulation, and stability. I am getting 3" of lift to match front. I am looking for good road quality/ not a stiff buckboard/add a leaf type ride, and giving some decent articulation off road.

How about a 4" rear lift and a 3" frt. lift...This combo works very well. have the spring built to be a progrssive spring pack. Some shops will semi-tapper the spring ends too. The 4/3 set up might seem a lot of lift but keep in mind that the springs well settle about 1/2" to 1" in about a year.

I have not heard a bad thing about them yet, besides one account of bad service on a custom application. The springs all the way up to 6" of lift ride great.

I have 3 inch Alcans. I like them. They have been on for about a month now. I had the same problem with the bushings being
wrong. I still need to get the bushing for the upper shackle. Only took a couple of weeks to get them. I dont remember the
exact cost but it was under 3 bills. Shipping to Cali was around 50 bucks. I am also running 31inch tires which fit well, for the
height. I don't have a body lift either. I'd say get em...you'll be happy you did....

I have had a set of alcan's on my jeepster for about five years and still like them. It seems people are having trouble with bushings. I had my eyelets of the front springs made for a toyota 2" wide spring then used poly bushings and in the rear used polys for a cj with 2 and half inch wide spring. I also had them due a military wrap on both front and rear springs. For those people during a add a leaf, been there, done that, IT is a waste of money. Go with custom springs.
