1st off, I think Im going to do a t-bar crank in the front. Will I need new keys or what happens? whats the best way to go about it.. with the chevy pickups if I crank the front does it make the truck level or could I add a 1 or 2" block in the rear?

2nd - fullsizechevy.com has some tech articles, one concerning making your own intake.. pics look good of it, take a k&N filter and such, which I already have.. but my questions is: is it not the box that says "vortec" that reduces the airflow.. will getting rid of the box that hold the air filter do anything?

tightning the tbar bar bolts 5-7 turns shoulg get you 1-1.5"s of lift. that about the max you ever want to crank,

keys are never needed.
alot of guys umhmmm go get ford keys or other kinds of junk to crank more, but if you wanted you could get close to 4"s just by cranking the stock set up.

the keys also dont get you anything but maybe alittle more twisting for for that little extra cv angle bind, that gets you a truck that steers bad and will be it broke 4wd drive in a short while.

yeah the intake, you can make one, the stock setup does restrick alittle, I didnt catch what year truckj you have so I cant realy give any advice on how to build one, i dont have much if advice on that if I knew what you had,

if anyone has pics of the bolts that I need to turn to get the lift could you please post them. would I need to jack up the front end first or not??
Im not very mechanically enclined as im 18. although I have learned to do my own brakes (big deal) and did fix a coolant leak that was going to cost me 300 bucks for 25...

anyways and help would be great.

they are close to the back of your doors ...if you can find the t bars follow them back to the crossmember then in 2 inches and there ya go two bolts pointing down .... count your turns and don't get greedy or you'll end up with a log wagon.

I beleave the t-bar bolts are 18 mm. When i did mine I also added a 2 inch block to the rear. Follow the bar from the lower control arm towards the rear of the truck and you will find the t-bar crossmember which is where you crank. It would be easier to do if ya had the front end lifted a little. That way the suspention is will soft (no weight) and you can adjust but then you have to lower to check how it turned out.
