Do these gear boxes really add any sense of tightness to YJ steering ?
Im not looking for quick turning ratios just a decrease in the amount of slop.
Would one of these help?

If you just want less slop then tighten the adjusting nut on your box. Or first check the steering shaft for play. The agr will give quicker turns and is a good box but you can go to the junk yard and get a box out of a late bodied camaro that is quick ratio. They are stamped hs on the cover. The monte carlo ss boxs are variable ratio's
