I did a search and came up with 73 ohms empty and 10 ohms full.This would mean it uses the same guage as pre-89 fords and all chryslers,according to my autometer catalogue(jeep is not listed). Would this be correct for an 84 CJ7? Do all CJ fuel senders operate on the same resistance?

You are right about the Ford and Chrysler gauges. I think all later CJs are the same - about '76 on - but don't know what older ones use.

just curious, whats the deal on the ford gauges? Better looking, cheaper, more choices on style???
