Ok guys, while my fiancee is visiting family in London, I will be yanking my AMC 20 and installing new solid axles, R&P, and the ARB. This will be my first time doing this (yes, I'm a virgin). Any advice, like what NOT to do, will be greatly appreciated. I plan to take plenty of digital pictures so I can share the 'experience'.

Having just installed a Detroit Locker, I can tell you what not to do. Don't get in a hurry!! I only had to set backlash, you will also
be setting pinion depth, something I haven't done yet, but it is also a critical measurement. You will need a GOOD dial indicator,
magnetic stand , a GOOD set of feeler gauges, and a micrometer or dial calipers. Good Luck, like I said in my earlier post about
doing it yourself, it's rewarding and saves you BIG bucks. The one piece axles are easy, no special tools needed there, but you will
need to have the bearings pressed on.
