i just got a 90 cherokee loredo. im waiting for my mechanic to get the engine. in ti. it has all original equipment down to the cassette player. i just wanted some input on whether oi should redo alot of it or just leave it all as it came. its in great shape, no rust or damage at all.but outdated. i couldnt believe how good the condition was in it when i saw it.what would you guys do??? i dont wanna destroy the interior to add a cd player nut a cassett,,, cmon, just lookn for tips. i am the jeeplady4ever after all....lol... :)

there's no reason that you have to destroy the interior while putting in a radio. you should be able to find something quality that fits with out hacking it up. i would not consider a 20 year old original stereo much of an asset to worry about.

Any DIN style radio should fit just fine. I would suggest picking up an install kit at electronics or autoparts store along with a wiring adapter it makes it alot easier and looks great. I installed an alpine CD player in my 90 cherokee and it looks factory. Good luck:grin:
