Nope, the stock Jeepster Commando TH400s were an oddball Buick Olds Cadillac bolt pattern that was used in some 60s cars. If you look at the front of the stock tranny you will see a factory adapter ring that adapts the TH400 to either the Buick or the AMC engine depending on what year you have. What engine are you swapping in, SBC?, it might be easier to use a GM bolt pattern TH400 instead?

Oh Sh** I thought they were a BOP, Im trying to drop a 4.3 v-6 In my 70, Well its got the the BO right would a BOP adapter work or am I SOL I really dont want to fool with the Trans.

The adapter will work with that tranny. I used the Jegs adapter on my BOP th400 tranny. Removed the 225, bolted up the adapter to the bellhousing (leaving the old 225 adapter on it) and the 4.3 bolted right up. I pulled the 4.3 out till I have the time to rebuild it with an RV cam for low-end torque, fab new motor mounts & some other stuff thats needed to be done. Then it'll be going back in sometime around april or may.
