I just got off the phone with a fellow jeepster owner down in San Diego. He told me that the recent fire they just had justed consumed over 4 million dollars worth of origanal jeeps and jeep parts. The worst thing the guy specialized in Jeepsters. My buddy said there were carcasas evrywhere. Oh the humanity

. Im sorry to tell every one this but I had to pass on the bad news. Oh I just cant take it.

Definately saddened by that news.

Hope no one was hurt. I can only imagine how I'd feel if my shop burned down right now.$4 million? Wow, that'd hurt REAL bad.

Thats what I was trying to figure out, maybe hes like the guy who Don got the Mountain of parts from. All ask my buddie he might know his name.

The name of the parts place was Border Parts, my buddie said there were over 60 whole jeepsters ranging from 49 through 73 and tons of parts.

The worst part for him he told me he didn't have any insurance so he really was at a lost. He is a guy that bought up alot of NOS stuff right from jeep like brand new axles complete and running gear parts.he stock piled tons of stuff in 40 foot trailers .

John's business is in an area that didn't burn. He must have had his other stuff out on a ranch.
If there is a "fire sale" I could go out and inspect things, but I wouldn't expect John to mis-represent anything.

At the risk of upsetting someone, if there's 4 million in inventory and the average jeepster is worth 10 grand, that 400 Jeepsters that were lost. Oh the carmanity
