I have a 92 Yukon, I hear a ticking noise coming from my A/C pulley every time the clutch engages. Has anyone had this problem? I need to know if this means the bearing are messed up in the pulley or if the clutch needs to be replaced. The pulley costs $165 and the clutch cost $62. I am assuming it is only the clutch because the noise is only when the A/C is on. I also want to know worst case scenario. If I let it go is there a potential for the pulley to freeze or slow and shred or throw the belt. If anyone with experience with this problem could respond that would be great.
