ok i have a 96 limited first of all it will start and stay running but only once in a while i have replaced the ecm the iac valve the the battery and terminals the jeep will start but shut off right away like there is a security shutting it off also the gauges and power windows do not work the only time the jeep will start is when i can get the gauges to work i got them to work long enough to get a code 12 then 55 now could this be the computer or just a bad ground wire somewhere any help would be great thanks

I can't pull the codes on my 98, but from reading old posts I beleve 55 means end of codes. As for the 12 sorry, can't help. At least this will get you back up top.

I grabbed this post from another forum asking about the same codes
"If it is the same as my 96 ram. 12 means battery disconnected in the last 50 key cycles. 55 means end of test no more codes."
Sorry I don't have any cooments that might actually fix something.

Another forum that shows how unreliable older ZJ's are. Thanks for helping me not making a mistake buying one.
