Hey guys I have a 94 YJ 2.5lt 5speed. I’m having trouble getting the front axel to in gauge when I put it in four wheel drive. I have checked all the vacuum hoses and everything is attached properly and I plan on doing a vacuum test on the shifter of the front axel. Is there anything else I should check before hand? I know there is a indicator switch somewhere does any one know where I can find this? My Chilton manual is very vague on the description of the vacuum system. Does anyone have a diagram? The vacuumm system is newer than the blue hose red hose. I have just two black hoses that run from the shifter to the TCase. My vacuum line coming out of the intake manifold T's out and go's direclty into the firewall. Does any one have a similar system?

Thanx

The indicator is located right on the fire wall beside the the battery on the right side or just a little under it. There will be a vacuum line and a couple wires on it. All it does is sense vacuum and turn your light on , on the dash.

The diagram Will put up is very good, but I'm not sure when or if that was changed.

Ya I have seen that diagram but system is diffrent. Off the manifold I have a T that one end is freely doing nothing just sucking vacumm and the other end goes directly into the firewall. I have a set of wires that come out of th Fwall and go to the a big housing that sets to the left of the shifter motor on the front axel. From what I can see there are no direct vacuum lines coming directly from the intake manifold to either the shifter motor or the Tcase. It looks to me that my system is a little newer. I don't know.

I know there were some changes made on that system but don't know when or what it was
. Sorry can't be anymore help than that. I'm at work so I can't even look in my book.
