Yes this may belong in the for sale section but I have a simple question first!!

Thanks for my rule bending

Got a 93 Tracker4x4 LSI automatic EFI for the price of the towing and impound fee. When the driver rolled it off the hauler it was in neutral like a dummy I pulled the key to open the tailgate and now I can't figure out how to get the auto selector back into neutral so I can roll it outside to start the butchery. This is an automatic now stuck in park. I tried the key in several positions but haven't been able to figure it out. I am sure it is quite simple as the tow truck driver was no Einstein.

Plans for the truck are pure salvage on a first serve basis. I am in southern wisconsin zip code 53581 i would like to sell the beast as a roller.

Body is trashed other than the rear bumper and tailgate and a few directional and headlight parts. Maybe some inside trim. Engine compartment is sound radiator and engine are fine as well as the elecs. Motor has high miles but was a good runner. Seats have gotten wet but are not torn. Has a 1.6 EFI w/ auto trans. 4x4 and A/C which I am not sure if it was in working condition.

If i can't sell the beast in a week as is I will start to butcher her up piece by piece.

call me if your interested 608-647-8808 days and eves 608-647-8819 cell608-553-0933

My zip is 53581 and the city is Richland Center Wi

Re: 93 Tracker LSI put in neutral how?/Parting ou

If the cable interlock is still connected you just turn the key on and step on the brake, if no battery connected you need to
disconnect the interlock soliniod on the shifter. Pull the
cover off the shifter and you will see a soliniod you can just manually move it to the energized position and you can then move the lever.

I was looking at a 93 sidekick with an auto in the boneyard the other day and there was a little round knob on the top right of the shifter base that you either push in or pull out on it and you could move the gear shifter. might be on the bottom corners of the shifter too i cant remember exactly but i do know it was there.
