I am looking at putting a 92-95 rollbar (with the shoulder harness for passengers in the back) into my project. How difficult is it to find these rollbars at salvage yards and how much do they sell for? I haven't been able to find any salvage yards which know anything (about the bars or jeeps in general), at least within driving range of upstate NY.

Thanks

I just saw one last friday sitting on the side of the road for trash (the guy was fabbing a new custom one)...would have gone to get it but I was heading out of town.
Oddly enough, I was heading to Ithaca, NY from MA. If you were a few days earlier I could have brought it to you....

There's yard near me that has the occassional Jeep. I was actually looking or an older style YJ bar myself and was quoted $75 for one that was in excellent condition from an early YJ.

Too bad you're not in the MD area, I'd sell you mine from my '93.

Chris,
You can pick up that early YJ roll bar and for about anothere $50 in steel you could have yourself a full roll cage. I built my roll cage out of an 89(my stock bars) and a 94. Took about 8 hours.
