i am thinking about picking up this 91 ranger that is for sale in the center of my town.. its a 91 decent shape 4x4.. buts it a stick and if i buy this it will be a trail only rig. and i dont want a stick for my trail rig.. how hard would it be to swap in an auto tranny?

also how big of a lift would i need to get to run some 35s on it? i dont mind trimming since it will be a trail only rig..

Re: 91 ranger.. manual to auto swap? and lift ques

IM not sure about the Tranny swap to how hard it would be but you are going to need at least a 6 inch suspension lift to clear the 35s with some trimming of the fenders or you could go with the 6 inch suspension lift and a 3 inch performaces accessories body lift and clear them with out a problem
I have a 94 ranger with 35s on it with only a 5.5inch suspension lift and they clear fine but i know the body style from 91 to 94 is differnt. if u ahve any other questions let me know.
