89\' Wrangler

Came by an 1989 Wrangler with the 4 cyl engine. Hard top and full hard doors. The 4 cyl engine the guy says has bout 60k miles on it but there is much more on the od. He told me it was a towed behind a motorhome a lot. Seems to be in fairly decent condition. Hes asking 2k for it. Was wondering what you experts thouhgt of that price. Anygood? I need a jeep that gets a lil better gas milage then my CJ.

Also was wondering how hard it would be to swap out the 4cyl for the 4.0L and the ax-15. Any one have any thoughts on this?

Also forgot to say that the front window is cracked and needs to be replaced.

If the body is in great shape, it is definately worth $2000. If the engine runs well, then that is a bonus.

The only problem i've seen with the body is the front right fender has a dent in it nad the turn signal is busted. I think i'm going to have the jeep checked out by my mech. See what he has to say.

If you swap to the 4.0, you really aren't going to get much better mileage. Just something think about.

If i were to swap in the 4.0L it couldn't be any less than it is in my CJ

The good ol 304 gets about 13mpg. Horrible carb on that thing.
