Anyone know what parts to look for? Transmission? Transfercase adaptor? Does the input on the transfercase have to be changed?

Thanks

What auto trans are you going for? TF-727 and 999 are your best bets. Input shaft will have to be changed for a 23-spline shaft. Maybe you can find an NP-208 like I did for a good price and gain a fixed rear yoke in the process. Since you've got the 6-cyl, no adapters will be needed.

I have a SYE kit on the 231, so I can keep it. Should I look just look for any 727 or 999 out of a 4x4 and then use a 241 t-case adaptor??

Why don't you try an AW4, it has OD and from what I hear it's not a bad trany probably not as strong as a 727. What engine are you running? It came stock with a 241 T/C and the 4.0 L, Just have to get the right year for your T/C. The 92 and newer have 23 spline output shaft, the older ones have 21 spline.
