Hi everebody. I could use your help.

I can't make my 258 idle correctly for extended time. So far, I´ve installed a GM HEI distributor with everything new, disconnected the stepper motor and replaced most vacum lines.

Inspection is not a problem so I want to get rid of all vacums (except dist vacum advance)but am afraid of not being able to engage front axle.

Does somebody done this. Which vacum source and lines should I keep to still engage my front axle.

I'm in the same boat except that I have a Weber and a naturally fewer lines. If you get a Rock Lock you'll be able to ditch the vacume cannister... if you are in FL, near Tampa Bay, maybe I could give you a hand with it.
