I have a 86 bronco 2 with a lift on it. I recently broke the rear driveshaft, and I can't find one long enough to fit it. It has one of those junk cv{constant velocity} driveshafts. Does anyone know where to find one of these junk driveshafts.

Id just try a junkyard, but if nothing turns up, just get a nice one, and get it changed to the proper length at a driveline shop. Me personally, id take the opportunity to get a custom shaft made that uses bigger ujoints, and change the yokes at the t/case and axle

If you wheel often at all, you need to get rid of that CV shaft all together. As you said already, they're junk. I would go hunting junkyards for a u-joint style shaft. It will be a direct bolt.

If you want to spend the money on upgrades, check out James Duff at www.jamesduff.com or Mountain Driveline at www.mountaindriveline.com .

Ah yes the CV shaft on the rear end is truly junk. I have an 88'(parked now) and after going through 2 of those shafts in 1.5 years I started looking for something new.
Most likely you can find u-joint style shaft from a shop in the length you need to fit. This works much better and was cheaper than a new cv shaft. I also tried to just replace the grease boots to keep the joints going but they only lasted a couple months. I would seriously go with the u-joint shaft. I believe I payed about $110 for mine new. Oh yeah and it bolts up easy.
