\'83 grand wagoneer PS gearbox on a CJ7

Will a power steering gearbox from an '83 Grand Wagoneer bolt up on a '77 CJ7 w/o any mods. I adding PS to a nicely restored CJ and seller of gearbox says it's a drop-in replacement. He's telling me that I can keep the manual pitman arm and steering shaft when adding PS. What main parts do I need to convert over to power steering other than the pump with pulley and brackets, gearbox with brackets and hoses? I'm new to the site and any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Hello, no profile?
I don't know the absolute answer to your post, but I can give you my experience in adding PS to my 79.
Things you need: PSpump and brackets, PS steering shaft, PS steering gear, PS pitman arm.
You have to have the PS shaft and pitman.
When I did mine, I got the pump and shaft off a CJ, I got the gear from a friend who swore it wasoff a Jeep of some sort. It matched everything, but was a bear to find seals for. Ended up using the casting # and or cross referencing #s on the seals themselves.
Everything works great, but I have a sneaky suspicion that the gear came from whoknows what. I think most if not all of the saginaw gears from that era are interchangable. Might use the search function to find more info.

Not sure on the pitman arm or steering shaft but the 79 should use hoses with flare fittings and the 83 should use hoses with o-ring seals. Be aware of that. They should bolt on the same though.
