I just put 80-90w in my T5 tranny yesterday. How bad is this? Should I drain and put 85-90 or something else? Have not driven it yet or put skid plate back.

Where you are going to have problems is in cool or cold weather, they get hard to shift. That's one of the reasons the recommended
fluid is now ATF. Also, there is the possibility of accelerated wear due to insufficient oiling due to oil flow.

dont sweat it.. if it gets really cold.. will be hard to shift.. just turn it over and let it sit.. once it gets warm it will work fine.. and i would advise against the atf.. lots of driving in warm weather and it will get hot.. most just put atf in it to shift alittle smoother.. but i would go with a thicker oil.. for better lubing..
