I have done everything else to this Bronco including a built 460 and suspension and body lift. Many other mods and 35" tires going to 38"s. I do a lot of bogging and trail riding with this one and by accident a few times the front wheels leave the ground. To my horror last week while changing oil, I noticed a 6" crack which had begun to separate on the left arm presumably from metal fatigue coupled with abuse. I jumped on it and did some serious welding and reinforcement.
I don't have much love for the ifs anyway and would love to go solid axle. I have seen a few pictures of them done but have no idea as to what's involved. Anyone with some knowledge on what to do or where to find out, please pass on some knowledge.
Thanks
