Well I finally got the Commando home yesterday. I had to washed 27 years of dirt off and remove cat dung from her spare tire. Today I tried to tackle the engine and soon realized that it is frozen solid. I have put mystery oil in the cyl's but only a day or 2 will tell. My fingers are crossed. It has the 4.2 and I am not in the mood to do an engine job.

Oh well, it is a Jeep,

Good luck on un-siezing the engine. Diesel fuel or kerosene is supposed to be good for that too. I have used diesel with good results. Because it's so thin it soaks into the rings and around the pistons better. Or you might try soaking it with PB Blaster if all else fails. Nice to have another Bullnose owner on board. Hope to see it at the Jam next year, only 7 months away!!

Just got a picture Up of the Bullnose. This picture was taken when I first picked it up. Blast from the past.

Hey, it looks like mine. The one on the right, not that POS on the left
. Not the best picture of it but the only one I could find on short notice.

Well that is the exact color! I just really like it, no idea Y. I think that it is Comanche Orange. At first I thought it was a Red, but after cleaning her up it is orange, yippee. Now that I have it in my possession, I am going to have to follow up on some hardtop leads that I found online. I guess white top it is. PS what size tires are you using?

I'm running 235/75R15 on mine. Skinny, deep lug, great for snow if I ever drive it in that sh%# again.
Not that I don't like snow, it's all that cr#%p they put on the roads around here to get rid of it.

Have you attempted to spin it over by hand?... large breaker bar/socket on the crank?

Have you drained the stuff "formerly known as oil" to make sure it full of water/rust/crud?

If it's an auto, pull the 3 bolts out of the flexplate that hold the torque convertor to make it a bit easier to spin.

I think it will be a little hard to get the bolts out of the converter if you can't turn the eng. over. But then again it's a bull nose, you never can tell??? You can always turn the owner over.
