I have been looking around on here about it but I stil am a lil confused. I didn't see anybody swap it into a Auto YJ. The others said that there were rubing probs on different part, and drive shaft lengths. Has anybody done this swao on a 95 YJ auto with no extra mods?

1. It will bolt up,
2. The clearance issue is with CJ7's,
3. The front driveshaft hits the ATF pan,
4. Without a 4" lift,
5. And the front driveshaft has to be lenghtened...
6. But, on a YJ the drop is on the other side.
7. I don't think clearance is a problem.
8. The issues I've seen is installing the kick-down linkage,
9. But you've already got that and it already should bolt up.
10. And you've got a stronger transmission.

It will bolt right up to your engine and your Tcase

But it wont run.

you have to cut a hole in the bellhousing for the crank position sensor, or buy one to mount on the front of the engine.

its all been covered here before

in the BBS search engine try
"4.0 AND 727"

I'm not sure if the 95 you have is computer controled or linked to your ECM in some way. The 727 tranny will not be a computer control tranny, but it will bolt up fine. You may have to change the flex plate and if you have to go to the older style that will mean a starter change out as well. The kick down may not work off your present tranny but you can get a cable unit from Summit Racing I think. I will have to check on that, I just read it in one of my books. I have yet to nail down the length of the 727 as I was looking into making the same change out. All though I have found out the 999 has a lower 1st than the 727.
Whats wrong with your 999 the rebuild should be fairly cheap and the good part is no mods and it fits
