That looks very nice indeed.
Any information on where and who made it. Also any idea on $'s?

At some point I will need the same thing for my convertible and want to start gathering information & sources.

Thanks, Brad.

Kevin, did your Dad have to replace any of the rubber seals above the side windows, and if so do you have a source? Was the top a custom mfg , or was it one from Electron Top? Looks good. Is the back window glass or plastic?

I think he said grand total was around $1600. He said it was $400+ for the top. It is a manufactured top, he's going to look for the info and I'll post it when he does.

The boot was custom made. I think a pretty hefty chunk of the $1600 was the installation and custom boot.

Jerry's Auto Upholstery ordered and installed the top for him. If he doesn't find the manufacturer, I bet you can call and ask them who they ordered it from.

Dan,
He hasn't replaced the seals you are referring to. So no help on a source for those.

Thanks and any information would be appreciated. From the other posts, I am getting the idea that installation of a new top is not a do it yourself project?
If the cost for the top is $400+, that doesn't sound tooo bad and I have installed lots of other stuff before. Hmmmm.......

I have not looked too closely at the one I have, it has been really cold or snowing here almost since the day after I brought it home.

Anybody out there done this before or is a "professional" install required. Sounds expensive, but of course so does screwing up a $400+ item!

More planning & research required!

Brad.

He couldn't find the name of the top manufacturer, so you'll probably have to call the shop to see if they can tell you who they used.

top - 458
pads - 85
labor - 650
misc - 40
shipping - 25
boot - 224

They originally ordered a boot, which turned out to be the wrong one, so the shop custom made him one for the agreed upon price. Hope this helps.
