most people prefer the full float axles, never the less
its a totally rebuilt axle and with the labor involved i
think its a good price, i love seeing hybred axles weather
they make sense or not, i saw on one web site where they
took a ford nine inch and added dana 60 outers for a front
application, looked like it had very good ground clearance,
but it was very spendy making it unpractical, its nice
having different choices other than just stock,

It looks to me like a glorified 14SF. Nothing too rare. You can pick them up for $400 at just about any junkyard. You can build one at the stealership for $1300.

You can machine the hubs of a 14FF down to 4.125" and run 6 lug wheels on it. People make "adapters" to go from 8 lug to 6 lug but doesn't solve the problem that most aftermarket 6 lug wheels have a hole in the middle no bigger than 4.25". 14FFs have hubs 4.5" in diameter.

If they use a Ford or older Olds bearing, they can use a retainer at the housing end. Same design that the c-clip eliminator is based upon. I saw the article in Peterson's 4WOR a few yrs ago. Don't remember exactly what they used for housing ends/bearings.
