512\'s from kick into sami?

I have been lookn for the answer to this question and can not find an answer!
What do you have to do to make them work in a sami? what parts must you modify or replace to get this to work I see a lot of people have 512's listed on there zuki's just want to know seems like a cheaper way to get lower gears! Thanks for any help and any pics would be extra nice.
Thanks,

You will need 2 front third members from a Sidekick or Tracker , auto's are 4.62's and 5spd units are usually 5.12's , depending on where they are . Some of the 5spd's had a higher ratio, count the teeth to be sure you have two identical sets . Go to one of the Zuk vendors and get an install kit , NCO carries the Breeze kit which uses a can to retain the cross pins and a spacer to go behind the ring gear . If you use the kit , I would recommend using the Track/Kick ring gear bolts as they are a bit longer than the Sami's . That length difference will make up for the spacer to maximize strength . Trail Tough, Hawk's , and I think even Petroworks all sell gear kits to do this , there are some differences so it's up to you and your opinions . Research this do death , there are a lot of posts on this swap , it's worth doing if you are going large enough to need the change in axle ratio, otherwise just stay with the tcase gears . Don't be afraid to use new bearings at least in the pinions on these Sami third members , most of them are pretty worn as these trucks have enough age to have high mileage . If you've never set up axle gears get a qualified shop to do them , shop around and see who will warranty their work . BTW, ratios over 4.62 use a very, very small pinion gear . The 5.12 set isn't too bad , but over that it gets scary ....

Or, if you are using a set, you can cut the ends off the tracker rear housing and replace them with the samurai ends. It is more complex than this of course. But the track/kick rear can be made offset to accomodate the sammy.
