I think I might get a truck with a 400 small block. Any opinions, or anything you want to say?

Love the 406 I've got........lots of folks think (or from past real life experience) that they have cooling issues, etc. Not if you've got a 4 core radiator in good shape and pay attention to the maintenance......see my 406 with TPI by clicking below........or check out the attachment. The 400 is an awesome motor with 50 more cubic inches than a 350 which basically translates out to more power.

Look it spells 400 sb now, I know it was gobbledygook a minute ago!

I really do wonder why I boiled so much damn spaggeti. And didn't think abou the ratio of sauce, so now I have dry spagetti that isn't as good as it could have been.

My Geography teacher is a big huge 6'5" 350lb El Cameno Drivin bad ass who rants all day about OPEC and oil prices and how fords suck. He's cool. ^_^

Oh yeah, the Chevy mechanic in my town came to school to give a career talk, and he said chevy's are the best when the teacher told him about the kid who had a PT Cruiser. That dickhead who I was ranting about in your exaust question said " I dont think so " and the guy started arguing with him and the mechanic won.

alot of people have told me that 400 small blocks over heat and blow up no matter what you do to them. you can build them up but they will blow up.

"400 small blocks over heat" I'm starting to think that is an urban legend. I've ran quite a few different versions of the 400 SBC over the years (cars & trucks) and never had an overheating problem. It's just like any other SBC with the exception of the steam relief holes (cooling wise).
