hey all...i'm having some trouble with 4-low popping out when under torque...the passenger side t-case bolt was just replaced due to it being stripped...can the bolt being too tight cause this? There were no problems before the new bolt, but the whole case was loose...I don't have a body lift or anything, so this is the only thing I can think of....thanx guys!!!!

check the long arm mount for the t-case, it could be bent. that is the prob that i have right now.

2nd vote, bent longarm.

Mine popped out on a nice rock causing me to bend my drag link. My longarm was bent a moderate amount. I finally built a replacment, have yet to try it tho.

If it popps out of gear too many times it strips the engagement cogs and will not stay in gear at all anymore. I have had that happen to several friends with body lifts and when it gets really bad we have to use a ratchet strap to hold it in gear!

There is a sliding collar on the main shaft between the gears that causes this , mine is worn and has a hard time staying in . It was doing it in low , I just turned the collar around so it would pop out of high instead . Wish I had one of those parts list , I'd like to see if a new one is available .

well, I'll pull the longarm off my parts truck and see what happens....the T-case is brand new, so I don't think it is the prob...thanx guys!!!!!!

The first geared t-case I ever put it popped out of 4-low the first day I test drove it. Got progressively worse after one wheelin trip. Resulted in the case having to be fixed at the tune $140 due to bent shifter forks.
