i may be acuiring a 90yj with a 4.2l . my question for who ever may be able to answer,is will the cylinder head and intake from a 4.0 fit on the 4.2. or will just the intake manifold fit.

and do a search on 4.0 head conversion, heck, do one here, do one on pirate, do one on JU, and do one on google, should have more info than you could possibly want.

and yes the head will swap, the 4.0 intake/exhaust manifolds will not work unless you swap the head. it is not a straight bolt on a bit of work has to be done, but it is possible, it is a good swap, and you can get injection to boot (if you go that way

As far as the 4.0L head and intake, go to Jaffer's page Jaffer, he has an extremely good write up on his conversion. Also if you do a search you can find tons of information on the subject.
